Bold Jumper Spider (Phidippus audax) with Cricket Victim

This dude was on the South-side driveway gate.

He was very active and quite fast considering his load; but, thankfully, he was still there when I returned with a camera.

Notice the eyes; they have eight eyes and stereoscopic vision.

The orange spot and markings are a much bolder orange in person; I figure the flash may have washed out the coloring.

He is sort of cornered in the latch area of the gate.
As a size reference, the drilled hole is 3/8 and the chain slot is 5/16.

In these closeup lens views, the gate itself makes for an interesting subject, what with the MIG-welder spatter, rust, and flaking paint.

Like almost every gate on the place; this gate was built twenty-five years ago at H&S Gate, less than 3/4-mile from where she now hangs.
