    Posted: 04 Jun 2025 at 11:12pm
Got a b125 power unit on a 60A combine and was wondering what engine and clutch parts would interchange with a RC?
Have a fellow member who has a nos RC clutch disk and pack and wondering if it would work on my b125?
He also has an overhaul kit for a RC but pretty sure that will work.

Thanks,
Gavin

An "RC" actually had a "C" engine, not a "B", so it is a little more HP. The flywheel is larger in diameter to meet the starter, so I assume the clutch and pressure plate are different too.

Funny that when an RC tractor was built, the model C did not exist. The engine used for the RC tractor (R code block) was a BE type block (which at that time was 116 CID) that was punched out to 125 CID, which at the beginning of the Model C production became the CE block that was now standard issue for all the B & C tractors.
AS for the RC clutch disc, it has the 1-1/4" diameter WC center splines and is smaller than  a WC disc , but larger in diameter than the B/C/P-U disc and is a unique part only used in the RC tractor. The RC flywheel is also a unique item that was only used in the RC tractor.
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.

I should have been more accurate. The 1939 RC had what was to essentially become the "C" engine introduced in 1940. The 125 cube version of A-C's small block engine.

So the late RC would be the same?
I think my b125 is a later one…

Is that number 70216965?  the parts book shows that number to be a Rockford pressure plate not the Auburn pressure you have pictured. What is the diameter of the driving surface?
