When lifting bucket, it jumps or hops continuously while lifting, even when bucket is empty.  Entire tractor hops when bucket hops.  Steering also has a  jerk - especially when turned all the way to left or right.  Changed hydraulic filter, but it did not make a difference.

Air infiltration issue
Either the suction tube or elsewhere.
Also on the front of the pump is a seal that goes back allowing air to suck in from engine.

Else your pump is going out.

Check the hydraulic oil before you do anything else. Now, where do you check it??

does the unit have low profile tires, you didn't pick the unit up from a street salesman in LA did you?    :-)    As stated you have a low oil issue or a bad front pump seal. You are "sucking air"  intermittently
