Hi AC, just saw your post looking for a 8550 and thought you might be interested in mine. I have owned it since 1986 and used it on the farm every year since, although the work is getting lighter lately. In 1989 the engine threw a rod and I repowered it with a 350 Cummins which has been a fantastic engine for over 3000 hours and made the whole tractor a much better unit. Maybe the engine swap makes it not what you wanted, but it does make it a one of a kind so depends on what you want to do with it. The transmission was rebuilt when the engine was changed and a lot of little things were fixed like the cab interior, instrument panel with pyrometer and full gauges, seat, center hinge pins, new side exhaust, gears made to make pto output 1000 rpm at 2100 engine speed, drive shafts rebuilt, 4 new tires on front axle recently and a long list of little things. This tractor has been my baby for 30 years so there is a lot of me in it! I will try to include a few pics and you can contact me if interested. AC 8550 3 Washed 021AC 8550 3 Washed 003[/IMG]

OOPS! pics did not go. It says that file already exists, maybe from another thread? PM me your email if you want pics.

Posting pictures on this site is way more difficult than it should be. Their is another farm site that I frequent is 3 or 4 taps with my iPhone and they are posted. The file already exists happens to me.

Hi Hal, I was not able to post any pics on the AC forum. I spent all morning trying to figure it out. It says the file already exists. So I went to File Manager and deleted all 10 pics that were already in the AC forum. Then it let me bring a picture from my computer list. As soon as a picture got uploaded then it says file size is too large. In my picture file it says the file is only 436kb but one picture in AC forum says it is 3000 and something which is over the limit to post of 2048kb. This is beyond my comprehension, and my wife's who is pretty good with this stuff. If you want some pics just PM me your email address.

I think I have posted pics on here before, am I missing something???

create a photobucket account, upload the pics to there, and paste the image link to the site.

Kind of a pain, but it works and you no longer have to worry about picture size.
