I broke the remote cable for the rear hydraulics. What is the best way to replace it. At 72 I don't work to well standing on my head anymore. I got one ordered from bunker hill. Nearest  AGCO dealer with one in stock was  3.5 hrs away.

No body talks about it but I've put B/H remote cables on 3 8000 series tractors and the groove for the end  is too large to fit in slot. I prefer to file 2 flats in the groove VS widening the slot. I really prefer they just fit!  Shift cables have all been good.

Just put 1 in a 7040 and it was the same deal, too big. I think I put 2 flats on it with an 1/8" die grinder. in the cab, and opened up the clamp up under the cab with a die grinder. Park cable and clutch cable was OK. Not sure on the small cables, I updated to the large cable.

Large cable conversion for 7000 series came with a new anchor bracket as the larger cables were larger and thicker.

Yeah, I had the same problem putting one in our 8050 on Sat.  I thought the old one was a tight fit taking it out so I just squeezed the new one into place.  Next time I'll grind a little slot on the cable.  I took the plate and rubber boot off, but I don't think you'd have to.   Just lubricate the new cable with some silcone lube and pull it thru.  Don't tighten the clevis ends on all the way, you'll have to adjust them to get the enough travel to open the valve all the way.  I had borrowed a cable from the third remote handle and it finally broke so I ordered two cables.  I can't find the extra pair of clevis ends so I just put one new cable on for now, never use three remotes at the same time anyway.

Yes. I ordered the new bracket for in the console, as well as the clamps for the valve from Agco. They (the cable) didn't quite fit the new brackets.

I appreciate the feedback on these Allis Chalmers cables. Oddly enough, this was not a problem I had heard about before but after doing a deeper dive I do see the difference in our standard clamp hub and the OEM hub.
Our 60-00250, 60-00269 and 60-00344 cables have all been updated with a custom made hub to match the original cable and all future orders will ship with this updated hub.
If you've purchased this cable from us in the past and are having issues with it don't hesitate to give me a call, thanks!
