We have a NOS one for $105.  Has the groove on one side of the ball, not both.

what do you mean on one side not both?  is the tip on them flat? the end that goes into the forks?  this is my first time messing with a shifter just trying to learn more on the issue

The ball that pivots in the top of the transmission cover. Some have slots/grooves on both sides of the ball for the square head pins, some have slot/pin on 1 side

I, personally, would buy the new one from Alex. If you buy a used one, it may be no better than the one you have.
