Adjustable front axle painting, what to prime and paint?
Wide front 1948 C. I will be disassembling it because tie rod end rubber is shot. Paint outside of outboard tube (usually a solid bar of steel)? Seems reasonable. Prime/ Paint inside the center tube? How? With a mop or sponge? If a tight fit, don't paint anything where tubes overlap? If not, then what, grease up the inside of tube? Just paint outside after reassembly? I guess same questions could apply to the tie rods. Thanks |
