Painting Safety - I'm a novice

   I will be painting my Allis G this winter in a heated shop. I would like to do it without blowing myself to Timbucktoo (sp?). The shop is heated with two Empire LP gas 33,000 BTU  heaters, one located in the side I will use for painting and the other on the opposite side of a partition. They vent outside. My plan is to leave the outside door near the heater in the shop space (28 x 24) open a few inches, place a small window fan in the other part of the shop (there is a 5 foot open space between them and let the fan draw air from the door, past where I am painting, and outside. I hope this will draw any combustible fumes away from the heaters and out the window. Yes, I have a good full face respirator and a tyvek suit to wear. Any suggestions? Thanks for any advice. 	Watch out for that fan, it can be a combustion source. It needs to be an explosion proof motor with non ferrous blades.
