Hey all, put oil in the WD the other night and noticed that I have one ram leaking more than I would like it to.
What are the pointers on repairing rams? I have never tackled this, are there a couple seals to replace? Thanks, Don

Try tightening the packing a little first. If the nut is bottomed out you will need packings. Just don't over tighten. These packings have to let a very small amount of oil through to keep themselves lubricated.

If it is a AC loader turn the packing gland on the top of the cylinder down a little and it should stop. They need to leak a little like CTucker is saying. If the packing will not tighten any more they will need to be replaced. The packing shouldn't cost much and once you start taking things a part you will see how they work.
