blue flame out the muffler

Had my tractor out the other night.. and noticed the muffler throwing a blue flame. It is running too rich, correct? Should I tweak the carb adjustment to fix it, or is there more to it? It is a d-17 that does need work, but basically cosmetic work, not so much with the engine.

NO, if it puts out the blue flame its tuned right . my 17 puts out one 6 inches high. WD45 puts one out to

I agree, if you are getting a nice steady blue flame you are pretty close on the tune if not right on it.

Never worried about blue flame out the muffler. If it were yellow, Dad would make some adjustments to the carb, I believe open power adjusta little more.

If you build a fire in the furnace some will come out the flue. lol
You got her set just right.
3 WD45's with power steering,G,D15 fork lift,D19, W-Speed Patrol, "A" Gleaner with a 330 corn head,"66" combine,roto-baler, and lots of Snap Coupler implements to make them work for their keep.
