Hope no one was hurt. Looks like he was trying to harvest the truck and he almost did.

If the driver of the pickup walked away, she or he must be in good standing with the Lord.

That was here in Illinois I believe (possibly last year).  Driver of pickup lived if I recall.  The truck was pulling a box trailer and it ripped it off the truck.  Driver of truck pulled out of an intersection into path of combine.

I was coming back from picking a couple of riding mowers today and passed a 9600 jd combine minus head traveling in the turn lane on a 4 lane highway in a cold steady rain. Seemed to be unwise considering the weather conditions but I passed by and rolled on, down the road a piece there was a 4440 jd tractor no implement and it had been rearended by a toyota camary. Slowed down for the police that were in the road and it appeared the tractor and drive were ok, the camary however was bound for china and the driver was being removed via back board. I work for a guy with alot of JD tractors and equipment and I would never get on the road the way the weather and traffic was today, just to dangerous. I have 2 bad habits, eating and breathing and I like to do both of them alot. After this ramble the point is be careful, dont put your self or let anyone put you in a situation to get hurt we all know how quickly it can happen. Be safe. Jhill.

My friend works at a neighbouring John Deere dealership and the word was that the combine was written off due to a bent main frame. This accident happened last year or two years ago about 40 miles south of me.
Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed

I thought that was why GM made the headlights come on when the truck was started. So if you were paying attention, you could see them coming.

Geeez Charlie.Don't matter if you can see them or not if they pop out right when you get there. Those combines will book right along nowadays. You ever approach an intersection and say to youself "They wouldn't pull out now....SURPRISE!Been driving class 8 for 32yrs.It happens even when you see them.
Sounds like your blaming the wrong guy.

It would be funny if John Deere got sued for making their equipment blend in with the grass so good. If they were smart they would take a lesson from a great company who made things in obvious, highly visible colors that no one could miss. I think the name of the colors were PERSIAN ORANGE and CORPORATE ORANGE.

Years ago, tractors and farm equipment being hit by cars was a major cause of death for farmers.  With the size of today's equipment (and ROPS cabs), it's the car drivers that are at risk.  Why they don't see the big equipment is beyond me.

I believe I heard the story as the guy in truck borrowed the new trailer from a friend.  he had it overloaded and possibly didn't have brakes hooked up (no  controller in truck).  Couldn't stop truck as trailer was way too heavy, pushed him through stop and right in front of big green.  Ripped receiver hitch right off of truck.  That's what I heard.

Around here a neighbor was pulling a manure spreader up a hill, there was a left turn at the crest of the hill.  As he started making the left turn, one of the two motorcycles following started to pass.  The cycle broadsided the tractor, killing the driver and passenger.

I'm surprised it doesn't happen more around here. People are so impatient and they drive like its the indy 500. I've gotten my share of one finger salutes and been cussed out in a Brooklyn accent. Heaven forbid you hold someone up for a minute who isn't going anywhere important anyway.
