While feeding cattle with my AC-200 yesterday,I was thinking how handy the trottle is located in the right hand console. I know the model 190 and xt's were the same, but did any other AC tractors have throttle on the right hand side? I'm not sure about the model 7000 tractor or other 7000 series tractors. Hey it's cold here in KY. and I guess i'm just bored.

On the 8000 series, originally the throttle was on the dash, but then they moved it to the console and the earlier ones could of been updated to the console throttle. So if you have an early 8000 series, and it's original, it'll be on the dash: if it's been updated,it'll be on the console. By the way, it's cold here in ND also, been dropping below zero at night. Not having the throttle on the console on an 8000 series would make it hard to use, even for long armed guy..

I always thought is was dumb that Allis didn't put the throttle on the console on every Allis after the 190 came out. -4˚ here in Rochester.

I heard rumors that the 6000 series were going to have power shift put in. But with the selling of AC off never came to be

Might still find a kit in a dealers stock for an 8000 series if you looked hard enough. It has been a while, but it seems the number was 70275889 or something like that.
If it weren't for the last minute, I wouldn't get anything done!

the 7000 series was on the right side of the dash, the lever was long enough that it was easy to reach.  On the first 8000s it was on the right side of the dash too, but the lever was shorter to allow room to get out the right side door, very unhandy.  7000s didnt have a right side door.   The mod kit moved the throttle lever down on the console where it shouldve been in the first place.  I did a few of those and it was a PITA to install but sure worked nice when done.
