Well Captain, I know of one that hasn't ran in about 5 years, has sat outside all that time, has a tree laying across it, a trip loader and no drawbar with a blade welded up and mounted directly on the lift arms, and they guy wants $2000 for it. Oh I forgot it looks like about 1/4 as nice as that one and it needs new rear rims and tires all around. Charlie

I also know of a dropped FFA project that has good rims and is laying on 3 pallets in a machine shed. I can't get the guy to give me a price. I know he gave like $200 for it and hauled it up here from Texas to find out his brother doesn't want to fix it for him.

Does it jump out of any gear? Could be an expensive repair. Also the 26" rears are way up in price, but you could put 28's on it.

Original?? 1957's had the grille screen painted orange and silver/grey decals on the hood instead of rivet-on emblems...also air cleaner hose should be molded, not a radiator hose with wire inside of it.

Looks like it either has a gas leak or the front and rear half were different tractors at one time.

I have to agree with Dr. Allis. Air breather should be taller and the front rims look wider than stock as well. Overall, it looks decent and would be worth it if the price is right.

It is a nice looking tractor. If it runs and doesn't jump out of gear then it is worth several thousand dollars. If it needs engine repair and transmission work then I wouldn't give that much.
You asked for a off the cuff price. I would offer 1,500 to start if it doesn't need engine and transmission work. If they don't take it, you can always go up, but you can't come down. My upper price would be 2,500, but it would have to be in good shape for that. Tires and paint will be expensive. If it needs work I would probably offer 1,000 with an upper range of 1,500 dollars.
That is just me though. It really depends on how bad you want it. How much you give is really a comfort thing. I have given more than I really believed something was worth just because I wanted it. Good luck, it is a nice looking tractor.

Long time no hear, Capt. Looks like a nice one. I'd give $2,000 if it were near by and everything worked as it should.

If engine sounds OK ( no knocks ) decent oil pressure ( RMA area ) and doesn't jump out of any gear, I'd say 1200 to 1400.
Look like D-15 hoods !

I gave $3250 for this one at auction a couple of years ago. The rear tires are worn, and the pd pops out of the high side, but the tranny is good, has ps and came with #7 sickle mower, 52 sc plow, loader, sc field cultivator, and 9' sc blade. I think that puts the tractor around $2000.

Good to see a post from you. Well, there you have it -- value of many amounts. Still comes down to condition of tractor, location of tractor, and how bad ya want the tractor. I have probably paid more for things that ran good, close to home, and something I thought I really had to have - LOL. Also consider, do you want to restore to use in field (best kind) or restore to be absolutely correct for collection? Fair value? - follow your heart and be happy with the results.
