can you force air through a updraft carb. i want the put a electric supercharger on my WD, but im not sure if air can be forced through a carb.

I'm sure you would have to tighten it ut up as they are meant for suction and not pressure, how much boost are you looking for?

Any blower setup that blows through the carb will have to be able to pressurize the float chamber to the same pressure as is forced through the carb otherwise fuel will not be pulled through, in fact it would probably be forced out of the float chamber. Stutz and Mercedes used this system in the late 1920's. Also, fuel would have to be delivered to the carb under pressure from a pump. Gravity flow as used on the WD wouldn't cut it.

not looking for a lot of boost. i dont move that much air, just want enuff to get me to the top of the class

If I'm not mistaken, you need to build a box around the whole carb and pressurize it, so that vents and metering ports are equalized.
