I'm stickin an e gleaner combine engine in a tractor and can't get it to react to the throttle like it should, I even put the governor off of the tractor in it but still it's either idle or pretty much everything she's got. Any suggestions?

changed everything, including the spring. Put a timing cover from a tractor on it so there isn't really much else to change so I'm kind of baffled.

Take the rod going to the carb throttle off and at front of the engine.  Move the throttle lever to wide open, grap the rod you just unhooked and pull it toward the front of the engine,  is shoud just be able to go back into the hole in the arm, can be just a shade short.  If it wont hook up, the bend the arm until the rod just slides in the hole.  HTH
