will a starter from a WD/WC work in a C. Trying to get finished up and starter bendix (i think) broke. Starter spins, sounds rough,but does not spin engine. Thanks |

Larry, I'm not trying to be Mr. Obvious--but have you checked the flywheel for bad teeth? Very common problem with the B/C's.

yep, had starter out tonight and no problems inside. Definatley the starter bendix is broke. Put it back in, coasted down the hill and fired up, finished the mowing. Will be taking starter to shop for rebuild/repair
