Leon, I have a 25KVA Dayton PTO generator, I have used it two or three times, Works grate but the book says it needs 45 HP to run it and all three of my WD45's have tried to and they just don't have the Hp to get it done! I say if you pull max KVA's out of it you will need a D19 or bigger, That's way the 4020 LPG is sitting in the back. lol
I got it used off Evel-Bay two years back.

I need to say that it is not for sale , I was just letting you know not to get a big unit and try powering it with a little tractor. Edited by Don(MO) - 23 May 2010 at 8:12pm |

Don, is it for sale? I have a WD with a Gleaner engine in it, or even the U or UC. I'll bet a load would make those old girls bark. I only want to be able to use it for some mobil welding jobs and to run the house when the electric is out. My electrician said I could get by with 15 to 18k generator if I chose which breakers to keep on. I have an all electric house but also have ground sorce water furnace and my electric backup elements have never kicked on. So I could run the furnace for a while and then water heater and the deep well. Specs say about 2hp per k of generator, so I should be able to run my house with one of my tractors and do mobil welding with the CA's(I ran dad's 18k and Lincoln 250 buzz box, it made the CA bark but welded wonderful.)

No Leon Is not for sale, Sorry about the way my post came across like that. I was just letting you know that my 25 KVA unit needed more HP than my old WD45 had in her. LOL But the U or UC might pull a 25 KVA unit.

A U or UC with more PTO horsepower than a WD45? That must be a tired 45?
