Howdy,my new to me quad will leak gas out of the carburetor overflow tube when I park it for the day if I don't let it run out of gas after turning off the fuel shut off. Assume there is gunk in the float, carb repair is above my abilities. I'm running a heavy dose of Seafoam thru it.It starts and runs perfectly. There's not a line from the overflow tube to get the gas to the ground so if it does overflow it drips on the engine. I am going to put a line on it. My question is, the parts diagram shows a one way valve in line on the overflow tube. What does this valve do, keep water out if you are puddle jumping? Thanks for reading!

valve is not necessary.. but yes, it prevents water, bugs, dust from going UP into the carb.... You dont have it now, so adding a foot of drain hose does not change anything.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.
