 Topic: Allis Chalmers D15 Series II Power Steering Hose

Anyone know where or how to fix the high pressure side of the power steering hose? Developed a crack in mine and its been a trying time to find a replacement.

We had to have a local hydraulic shop repair ours.

Ive checked with AW, Stiner, Inline, and AGCO, but they dont have any. Part #70233483. May have to use compression fittings or find used somewhere. Thanks.

I would take it off and send it to "INLINE TUBE" to have it copied. I'm sure that they don't have in ready to go or even in their listings. I had a local shop make some for me a few years ago, although it did fit at each end, it looked nothing like the original.

Your local NAPA store might make hoses.. take the original to COPY.

I’ve had decent luck brazing steel tubes, if it’s just a small crack or area needing repaired. Not sure how heavy-walled the p/s tubes are, but the hydraulic lines are substantial and easy to braze

They are NLA so that’s why we had to have ours repaired. Normally we would just order one from SLI and know that it’s OEM.

For a quick fix, I bought a 50 inch 3/8th brake line from AutoZone and bent it to specs. Ideally, you would want to get a 40 inch line, it would fit easier but I did not have that option. The ends were the same size as the old line. It does the job for now. If this did not work, I would have cut out a section of the line and used compression fittings to make the old ends work or shorten the new breakline.
