How to remove final drive shaft to remove brake on right.
 There is a pin in the shaft or is this a clip.

It is a clip. I bought a 12" flat head screw driver and bent the end 90 degrees about an inch from the end. I was able to work it under the clip and pull it out. Then slide in the axle shaft.

Once I pulled the clip the rest was easy.
all the post I googled said it was such a pain. Not so.
