I have my 7040 on a weight loss program and I am trying to get the top arms off the rock shaft. Any Ideas that don’t include putting on so much heat that I burn my tractor to a crisp?

First thought is to run a Threaded rod through the Outside pin holes and put a power pack cylinder and an extension on the inside of the threaded rod between the cast arms to force at least one of them loose. I’m thinking I can get one off that way, clean it up, reassemble it, and then push the other side off..

The threaded rod will prevent the spreading of the arms under pressure. It would have nuts on the outside.
