The old narrow bridge, between Savanna,Il and Sabula,Ia is all but gone since 10:30 something this AM. I watched it live on facebook and it seemed like it took a couple minutes for the BOOM and rattle to get here about 24 miles away. The dog jumped up and ran barking at the front door too LOL

The new bridge was opened last fall, but is closed now for repairs on the short bridge coming out of Sabula. If you live in the area and want to cross the river by car, Clinton bridges and Dubuque are the only way.
 Video of blowing up one of the old footings was on the news last night, not too spectacular though.
