HI, New member here.... I jointed in order to find info. on a Model S dozen, we are trying to bring back to life. Its a huge Gas 4 cly engine, made between 37-42. Very little ID on the machine that we can find. Just a big "S" on each side of the Rad. As the matter of fact we are guessing that it was made by Allis Chalmers. Would anyone by change have info. on this machine, or can lead me to some place that does? THANKS ERIC

Thanks for posting the link, Dave.
Certainly is a RARE machine these days. Belongs in a museum, I'd say! There's also a photo of a Model S with Baker dozer in the book "Classic Vintage Crawlers & Dozers Vol I". Interestingly, it has dual stacks, different from the Tractor Data photos.

My understanding is that from clutch back a model S is mostly the same as the HD 10. The same as model K is the same as HD 7 and model L is the same as HD 14. I would make sense that engines ran at different speeds that the gears in places would be different.
But I know my uncle had pieces of L he had bought for parts for a HD 14.
