I've seen pictures on here posed of D17's with 170 fenders. I don't know how much modification it took, but I don't think too much.

I was never a big fan of a 170/175 because I felt the seat was too low compared to the height of the fenders. If the seat suspension is good and the spring adjusted fully stiff it helps. I always thought the platform and seat needed to be 3 inches higher.

I'm with you Doc I never liked a 170-175 it seamed to me it felt like your sitting in a hole ! But a lot of farmers loved them for loader tractors.I think the org.fenders on the D17 was just fine.

when I got my 175 the previous owner had made a base for the seat that made it 3 or 4" higher but I removed it so my feet would rest on the platforms. When I am baling or picking corn I do tend to stand alot to see better...Harvey
