..in a line of engines that I propose is one of the most populus tractor engines ever produced - and the current MF4707 still uses a variant (simpson-perkins) in Aisian sales today as well as the MF 2600H series. From 1959- today (64 yrs) the engines (as well as the 4.236) has been thru several ownerships and survived the emissions era. Ford even used a Perkins variant as a ford engine in the Dexta-Super. AC used the 'industrial ' versions as a premium engine to set them apart from the MF competition at the time. Just an observation from a post below stating the relative low cost parts for a 160 engine overhaul.
