    Posted: 14 Sep 2023 at 10:01pm
Well, it happens, even in the small town. Last night we had a bad man shoot and kill one of our police officers. He then started driving up to Minnesota and was captured at Sleepyeye. The police were out looking for him just a few miles from my house and the red and the blue lights went long into the night. They had Algona on a complete lockdown last night.

Talking with a few others from a town east of us 30 miles away, they were saying highway patrol went through their town at a very high rate of speed coming towards Algona.

I’m so sorry for the late night rant, but it has been such a blue day.

Sorry Gary, but I can’t, I refuse to get used to this.

I came in the house the other day for dinner and flipped on the TV, law and order was on. Their story was about a cop killer. Some of the boys wanted to turn the Badman over to the Federal’s as they have a death penalty for a such things. And the city of New York wanted him tried there. And this got me to thinking. I called my congressman’s Office. I know I don’t know if such a law exists for the federal government, but what if our local police, highway patrols, sheriffs deputies, and firemen what if they were all paid a token payment. Let’s say $100, or $1000 a year by the federal government, would that not make them Federal employees? If such a rule does exist, you could arm your policeman, with far more than just a bulletproof vest and a 45.

Our man leaves behind a wife and three young boys.

I agree but unfortunately its what things have become, what used to be big city crime has now spread to the countryside.Be prepared and be alert.

Most of the current lawlessness is from gangs from South America.  You can thank ole Sleepy Eye for that.

Prayers headed for all involved (except the shooter).  I'm prayin for him to come to a quick demise.
