I have a HD4 dozer, the gauge itself, the paper backing inside the gauge has gonwe bad and its sealed so I fugured I would pull the dash and replace it. but the thermal wire that leads to the torqe convertor line is crimped to the back of the gaude.. so I traced it back to the line and it looks liek either a half inch or 3/4 fitting into the line. So my question is if I buy another TEMP gauge will it have those fitting or wil I have to cut my line and crimp it to another gauge soem how??

Not sure but a replacement gauge should fit, possibly with just a pipe bushing to adapt. You can't cut the bourdon tube to the gauge, if that's what you were planning. I assume you are talking about the temp gauge.

The gauge is a full unit, from the bulb at the end to the gauge itself . It all needs to be replaced as a unit - sensing bulb and gage itself.
