That one needs fixed! The tin looks good and the PS, That one is way to nice to part out. Did you take the starter out to see if you could turn the engine? Keep it!

I'm sorry for the message I left. I didn't realize you were the original poster, and I saw a negative comment like that on another post, which was actually rude. I'm against anyone leaving a negative comment to someones post. Sorry!

I would agree. It looks too good to part out. Leave it posted in both places as more will see it here.

I tried the starter when I took the pictures, the fan turns progressively 1/4" each time you pull the start lever, guessing a spun bearing. No hole in the block. Guy said engine just ran slower and slower until it snubbed out. I will not be keeping this tractor as a project, I already have D15II and 175d project loader tractors that I haven't got to since this spring.

haha yeah! Dang cheap no good dirty rotten aftermarket mufflers! First they let the rain run down into the manifold and engine, now they're causing tractors to run tight!

Dave,
This is a long way from my house! And do I need some other orange project? NO! I just would like to save all of them! I spent a lot of time on a 45 with power factor power steering. What a joy to drive! You could spin the wheel with your pinky. And they had a unusual hydraulic sound. Would be a nice addition to anyone's WD series collection. Looks like it may have had the nose cone replaced. Has a alternator and uncut swoosh. all good things. Someone needs to buy this and start a build thread! Regards, Chris

I grew up on a '53 WD. Always thought the WD was one of the hardest tractors to steer. It didn't help any that it had loader on it.

Took us years to figure out the loader should be on the 45 with the power steering! Made it a lot easier to clean barns after that.

I'd love to have power steering on my Wd45...the D14 (with FEL) has it. The pump was not working when I bought the D14....I'm careful to not abuse it, though, as I discovered (after I bought it) that parts for the pump are really hard to come by. I had a set of pump gears from another pump model milled down a tad to work in my pump as I couldn't find any of the right gears. Anyway, I hope someone jumps on that machine. Dave
