a customer of mine in MN with a D21 that I built a 450 roosa pump for was running 7th gear one time and it blew the stock intake apart. I sold him an intercooler manifold that was gutted. He was running an S300 turbo and they will exceed 50 psi. The load that 7th gear put on it must have sent it to over 60 psi lol! Luckily he had side shields on it. Since that time, I tend to shy away from the small manifold, and go to the intercooler manifold, even if you have to gut it.

We blow a stock manifold apart at 45 psi with a s-400 3x3. Running ( different turbo set up)up to 70 psi now with intercooler gutted and ice box with no problem.
