LP regulator on forklift

   She quit running a few years ago, just now getting around to working on her.  I couldn't see that it was getting any gas out of the regulator. The solenoid opens gas goes in but nothing out so I took it apart, well the diaphragms were warped and it was full of crud. So I googled Bean T60 and found a nice rebuild guide but no service manual. Turns out rebuild kits are about $70 and a new regulator was about $100 so I just ordered a regulator. Well it came but no instructions. OK can't be that hard. I put it on and nothing. No gas coming out. So I go back on the web and figured out that there is a set screw that adjusts the point that Vacuum opens it. Still no idea how to adjust it properly. Well after turning it in 1/4 turn at a time for over 2 full turns i finally got her to run. I sure would like to learn how to properly adjust this. If anyone knows were I can find a manual Please let me know.    Now all I need to do to her is ignition tune up, Hydraulic oil change, Generator/regulator repair, Brakes and a seat.  Yipeh

	Get it warmed up and adjust the small screw on the regulator for the highest idle. The best was is to use an exhaust gas analyzer but most don't have access to one. I use the idle method all the time. On most forklift carbureted lp systems the engine vacuum draws fuel in there is no "push" from the fuel. On a beam there is a pressure test port 1/8 pipe. Should be about 4psi at idle. If you want to set the top end there should be a larger mix screw on the carburetor, adjust the same was for max rpm but with the engine against the governed with a load. The easy way to load a forklift is to pull the tilt till relief. Hope this helps
	There are 3 ways to do job GOOD, FAST, CHEAP. YOU MAY CHOOSE 2. If its FAST & CHEAP it won't be GOOD, if it's GOOD & CHEAP it won't be FAST, and if its GOOD & FAST it won't be CHEAP!!!!
