i have another question for anyone with some experience. My upper clean grain auger flighting in the bin is wore sharp, and i know from my others this is an issue when you get into good corn or it will back up the clean grain elevator and break or slip it. Anyone make a replacement flighting for this short auger? I think they make it all new reasonable enough but non of the part numbers match OEM numbers either?? A&I do a terrible job at part numbers and pictures and their website is not very user friendly either... Thanks to any help

When you find some correct flighting, cover it with a steel tube and extend it into the first crossbrace in the bin and bolt the tube to the brace. Extend the flighting out from the tube 2-3 inches. Grain bin will now fill FULL with wet corn. Flghting must be same diameter as the tube is. Get rid of any small diameter augers on that shaft.

Had one replaced on my C2, went to local black smith, he had access to flighting of all sizes, fixed it right up with new.

It appears A&I does extend the flighting 2/3 across the bin, but their stock generic photos might be misleading. If I knew this it would be well worth the $300 to replace it.

Only just a couple inches past the first cross brace (frt to rear) and no farther. It will fill the bin nicely and in the center.

Well I wanted to correct my earlier post to set the record straight. It appears nobody makes that bin cross auger aftermarket. What they were referring to upper auger was the unload. They do make it for L2's however. That's ok I'll source some flighting for it and make it like new. And Doc I'll take your advice and run it over to the first brace with 6" tube. Looks like the tube measures 6 1/8th. Hopefully after I'm done I'll post some pictures for anyone wanting to do the same. I know on my K with a 3 row narrow that was the biggest issue. A good clean grain elevator could keep up until it started to pile up and go backwards down the return then the chain would break because the clutch was set too high on mine. My fault not its. I'm hoping a new elevator chain, good auger flighting and possibly a speed up sprocket if I could ever figure out which one I need and she will eat corn. The lower clean grain is in much better condition. Thanks again guys

Also be sure the clean grain elevator chain is snug. In 19, the L3 clean grain slip clutch gave out when the extensions started to go up. Took me a bit to figure it out but after tightening up the elevator chain, I had no issues. Leon B MO

You need the speed up sprocket set up. I forget how it is. Did it to my F2 and 3 1/2 mph+ in 200 bu corn is no problem. 4-30's Then I made a slow down sprocket for the bottom shaft for soys. Works nice and doesn't crack as many beans. Each sprocket has a dedicated chain. Change out in about 5min.

It think the stock double sprocket idler which adjusts right side chain and drives clean grain had same size teeth. The one on my F2 has 19 teeth on outside and is larger than inside (2050? chain...big tooth)

Double sprockets the same size are slower. Speed-up sprocket kit is larger sprocket on the outside driving the elevator.
