I could not figure out how to post any text with the pictures. It is a 1967, all in all in real nice shape, needs new front wheels and tires and the correct seat, but other than that I think it is pretty OK. Michael

Michael, Never sold one of these since we were out of business in 1962. However, it looks like an outstanding job. I know it is better than new.
I know I sound like a broken record but I can never get over the paint. Looks like you have a clear coat.

The front wheels have had a universal ring welded in to repair and with so few hours I am assuming they are not correct. They are 5 bolt hubs and I think late 67 should have 6 bolts hubs/wheels.

Michael, That is a very nice D17 series Iv! I would not worry too much about the front wheels being different. The back tires have been replaced with newer lug styles? I think it has character the way it is setup with wheels, weights, and all. You may want to research who owned it and why they changed it before jumping to the correct police. Sometimes great stories are learned about why things were changed. It adds to the machines history in a richer way. Just my two cents.

You did good Michael!! We are even now. I don't have the correct font end in the Speed Maintainer yet ,and you should have 6 bolt fornt wheels. I think that The D-15 II and the D-17 IV both got the 6 bolt wheels sometime in 1965. I have a 67 D-15 with 6 bolts and a 66 D-17 IV diesel with 6 bolts. Both are excellent originial tractors. I need to visit you and Dave M when I get through your part of the country.

Michael I have removed the engine from the WD that I purchased from you and am getting ready to install it in my sons WD. I have it running good and will probably install new front and rear crankshaft seals also new pan gasket and paint the engine.

The D-17 series IV sure looks nice.

Nice looking tractor. Looks like it's been repainted judging by the headlights. I don't think it is a 67 though (without knowing the serial number). To me, it looks more like a 65 with the 5 bolt front hubs and the AC on the front emblem (like my 65 has). My 67 has 6 bolt fronts and the triangle emlem. The rear rims are correct for series IVs.
Here's my 67 in the foreground with my recently purchased 65 in the background.

If those are the optional heavy duty allis rims, I'd keep them on there...They do look backwards....but a nice option...Mark
