    Posted: 29 Apr 2016 at 11:15am
I'd like to build some attachments for my gehl 4610 skidloader and was wondering if anybody had drawings for the hitch that needs to be welded onto the attachment.

Thanks
David

Is it not the standard skid steer hookup?  you can buy blank plates to build whatever you want

i believe it's a standard universal, I just don't want to pay 400-600 for something I can draw and burn out with the laser at work.

ok so you need to fashion the male part that attaches the loader and cylinder rods to fit the standard skid steer plate?

If you want the tractor side I think that is custom to each type of tractor.   When I converted my d15 I had to have it custom made. The bucket side and the small plates that slide into the bucket side with the pins are pretty cheap on ebay but you have to build the part that mates to the tractor.   I need to have mine redone because it didn't curl the bucket up enough and doesn't currently get the full travel of the cylinders.   Take the time to mock it up with a wooden template it will prove to be time we'll spent. I made a temple that allowed the curl cylinders to go full travel while not allowing the cylinder ram to run into the lower support pin. I had to change the distance between the two pins to get that right then I changed the front angle of the plate to get the bucket to curl up more when down and still have a good dump angle when up. That is a balancing act with an old tractor that doesn't have a self leveling boom. There is an older thread here I think I put quick hitch or something like that in the title discussing the troubles I had with that last fall.

You have the tractor.  Why not just make a mock-up jig, out of wood, for the male half, that goes on the tractor?  That's the route that I used to make the 15 attachments that I cobbled up to fit my ASV RC-30...

DIYDave, that's what I'm probably going to end up doing, I just thought if somebody already had it, why reinvent the wheel.  I'll post of the dimensions when I'm done

I think that is a European #2 hitch. Something like that it is almost the same thing that is on my case 5240 quickie loader. I just remembered when I looked it up it was European.

I saw a place in a logging magazine, that I get (forget the name...) that sells the flat weld on plates for just about any machine.  If they are plasma cut, they will be stronger.  If I can find the ad, I will get it on this forum...

Son makes skid loadr attachments and has made attachments for small utility tractors also - the face plates are now close to universal on new machines - yet some mfg still have differences so they are not universal fit without some changes .
He also does attachments for Dingo and other such small walk behind , ride on , units used in construction and landscaping work.
He is now making a order for a East coast dealer of 10 snowplow units . Follow up is a order for marker installer for Alaskan oil field roads
