I have a 1949 model g that was working fine, then I thought the starter was going bad, and I had to pop start it a couple times and she fired right up.  Now it won't pop or turn over with the hand crank. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

IF the starter is not removed it may be wise to remove it.  It may be locked up there.
Good Luck!

Remove the starter like Bill says. Probably need the starter gone through.

Good call, there was a mouse nest in there jamming up the starter teeth, cleaned it out and she turned right over, didn't start but should be easier from here. Thank you Bill

Gourdo, glad it was more serious, and things are back working. When I got my G last year, it wouldn't turn over with a new battery. I took the starter out and removed a 5 gal bucket full of mouse nest. It still wouldn't turn over since mouse pee froze the starter up. After a bunch of dis-assembly and cleaning I found a bad connection in the starter and had it repaired with a new "button" for the starter switch.
