I've had this problem for yrs.
I went to a podiatrist back then, two sessions with Cortisone shots that worked, then he made a mold to make plastic inserts, told to wear them all the time, buy flat sole good shoes, do not switch sides. This has worked, not like when i was younger and when my feet start barking, sit, prop up. I have had these supports since '93, they still do the job.

I suffered through bouts of it several years ago and nothing helped. Once the pain moved to my toes and knees I realized it was gout. Now daily Allopurinol tablets takes care of the gout, as long as I avoid high protien diets and heart bypass surgery.
