Hi guys , I haven't posted here for a while, Since the new format, but still check in to keep up with what's going on.
I bought this one sixty hoping fix the problems with it and retire my D-15 to shows and rides.
Problem is diesel exhaust and my body just don't mix. So I'm need to sell it for what I gave for it. I bought it for $2500 hoping to put $1000 or less in it and have a good tractor. So that's what I need for it.
The good, fresh engine overhaul, Head work, sleeves pressed in, and new crank, done at Mile's machine shop in Louisville. Runs and drives well. Said he had someone clean the fuel pump and injectors.
Rear tires and rims good, front tires will last a while, new muffler and pipe from manifold, new shifter boot, new remote ends, new seat, (not stock but nice.) Sheet metal straight except a couple of dents in the rear fenders.
The bad, oil pan leak at the back, the guy said he tried several times, but couldn't keep the rope packing in place while securing the oil pan.
Battery charges, but indicator lights nor running lights work.
The ugly, the guy said the lift worked until he changed oil and now it lifts slow and jerky. He put in hy-tran, but the I&T manual I have says 10w-30 engine oil. Not sure if that is the problem or not.
The tach does work though I'm not sure if the hours are right or not. I haven't checked the serial number yet, but it is a one sixty, not 160, so it's an early model.
Here's some photos of the tractor, it's in KY about 50 miles south of Loiusville.
If you're intrested phone is 270-862-4568, e-mail drjjwfelts@windstream.net thanks!
