I,m looking for information on a PTO driven Ottawa Drag saw Style No. C-11.
The only refrence that I can find on this saw is in a small book called The Ottawa Wood Sawing Encyclopedia, on the last page. I have never seen another saw like this one.
My Question is does anybody have an Operators manual or similer on this type of saw? Has anyone got or seen another saw similer?
I'd post a picture, but with only dial-up thats not much of an option sorry.

Man! What memories. Those were the days! Going into the other pics...if we didn't cut the wood in the fall we didn't keep warm during winter fer sure! That was one job everyone in the house pitched in on! I can still hear the saw and smell the wood!

This saw was, and will be again mounted on a 1938 McCormick-Deering W-12, My dad got it at an auction in the late 60's or early 70's and put it on the Little 12 for shows and such.
It got taken off in the mid to late 70's and put on a pallet and forgotten down by the woods till this spring when we started getting the Little 12 and the 1939 Farmall F-14 cleaned up and fresh coat paint for the International Harvester feature at the 50th Pagent of Steam this Augest.
Also the F-14 has a Buck #10 Buzzsaw mounted on the front of it( I almost lost some fingers to it on Nov 11 1990)

I have two Ottawa drag saws, one has a air cooled engine and the other is exactly like the one pictured behind the F14, have never used it but thought it would look good mounted on my C or RC, would be neet to demo at our show.

Mike that's interesting how those dates of important events in our lives stick with us like when you almost lost you fingers. 
As for me I can say that the last time I went fishing was May 16, 1998.  I'd explain but it's a long story.

I have a free standing belt driven saw like shown and one to mount on the front of a tractor. In the old barn at Dad's there is a 2 man crosscut saw rigged to an upright handle. You set the saw blade on the log and start pushing the handle back and forth.

I've got one somebody gave me & I don't have the slightest idea how to set it up. mine came on a pallet also. the guy said that you could cut trees down or buck them up with it he thought, but he had never used it. it had belonged to a family member. sure would like to see more close up pics of it mounted on a tractor. sure would like to demonstrate it at our show. had it setting out with a sign on it asking for help, but got no takers.

Dave: Don't know where your friend is but I have one in Indiana that I would part with. It was mounted on a Farmall F20, but could be adapted to something else easily. Dale
