Well, what next?

   Today we had a little rain, so I tried tackling that left hand steering clutch on the HD5G again. A brief re-cap: It's the steering clutch that I could not get to compress together enough to get it to come, so I started splitting the brake drum with the cutting torch, as to take it out in two pieces. Anyhow, since taking to it with the torch, I cannot get that side of the machine to turn any more. Like it is locked up solid for some reason. When we were taking out the clutch and brake drum bolts, both sides turned over very easily. In fact we were pushing the whole machine backwards with my little 5215 deutz tractor quite effortlessly. Now I have this brake drum cut about 1/3 of the way around, and need to turn it in order to keep cutting, and it is locked up solid. Other side where the clutch is out, turns over, but on the left side, the track will slide before any of the drive components will budge. Been pushing and pulling on the track and sprocket in different configurations using the porta power, and it just won't even wink. Thought about hooking up a temporary diesel tank, starting it up and putting a little engine power to it, but haven't quite resorted to that yet. The thought of using a stick of dynamite has crossed my mind, but I haven't quite resorted to that yet,either. Any ideas? Thanks, Darrel

	Make sure all the bolts each side ben removed and you should have 1/8 inch loose for pull out the stering cluch
