A warmed over TSX464 would probably work quite nicely on that engine depending on how much is done to the engine.

Tsx848 is off a D19 and it will work but the inlet will face forward unless you change the throttle shaft around, the bolt pattern is wider so you can slot the holes in carb and manifold of you can do what I done and have the manifold neck welded, drill and tap for studs to mount carb and then you can open up the manifold inlet port. I done this on my WC I used to have and worked well.

Ok I'll get it cleaned up and the throttle turned around and adapted to my manifold. I have a tsx464 that put a inch Venturi and did some drilling on the Jets on my other WC and it works very well. So I'll stick it on the dyno and c what works better.

When adapting, make sure you have a nice smooth transition from the Carburetor through the adapter to the venturi. The faster the air speed, the more torque the engine can make. Torque is luggin' power, and that's what yer' lookin' for. AC engines don't have any problem making HP. I would think that warmed over 464 you have should work quite nicely on that 240 motor as I mentioned...

The 773 is in the same family as the 464. That also is a good carburetor to work with..
