I was at the boneyard today and found a mostly complete TL-6 with an Allis B motor.
It looks like there were not alot of these made, seems a shame to let it get scrapped. Does anyone know what it weighs? Is anyone interested in owning it or parts from it? Where is the S/N located? Please speak up if interested or have information, I could ask for a stay of execution for a couple days. I would like to have it myself but have not worked on my TL-10 in a couple years so should not collect more work. Thanks Hyperpack in Northern wisconsin |

There were 475 TL-6's made. They weigh about 6000 pounds. Built from 1954-1960. They replaced the TL-W as a 1/2 yard loader. Big improvement from the TL-B and TL-W was the transmission, built by Tractomotive but was similar to a shuttle clutch. At serial # 279 in 1956 they added power steering. Mine has power steering on it but no serial # tag.

Hmmm... I need another project like I need a hole in my head, but post pictures of this... what's it missing, and what 'obvious' will it need (i.e. tires, radiator, etc)...

I didn't get pictures to Email today, I will try tomorrow. Did not see the boss this afternoon but expect to see him in the morning. This machine is a bit banged up from loading and hauling in a big dumpster. The valve cover and thermostat housing are banged up. Hood is gone, mag and steering wheel is missing. Hydraulic system looks complete. It has forks made of loader cutting edges. I would tackle it as a project if I didn't have so many already. Hyperpack |

Doesn't sound like an impossible thing to rescue. See what they'd demand in ransom... if I can swing it, and you can snag and drag it to safety, I'll plan a sometime-this-summer trip up there with a trailer...
Oh, and if you need something, I'd have an empty trailer coming from Eastern Iowa... |

It LOOKS like all the critical 'hard' parts are there, save for the bucket, which Darren says has been located, but not rescued YET. IMO, it looks like a good candidate for some wrenches, tires, and ressurection...

Sorta' looks like its equipped with a "B" Radiator. Definitely looks like its a savable piece. Its gonna need a lot of work n' TLC, but it could be a nice unit if saved...

Thanks Dave for posting pictures. I saved this from scrappie for a member here but have not seen any money, so it is still mine to sell. I gave $600 for it without the bucket, it is at my place so its safe. It has 8.25X20 tires on front and 14.5 mobile home type tires on back so it costs little to find good rubber for it. it does have a B motor and radiator in it so thats easy and cheap also. It was in running condition a few years ago I learned from the old Guys neighbor. Im told by scrappie the bucket is still at the farm but its been too wet get back there. The little guy is kinda growing on me so someone should bring a little cash and a trailer and stop for a visit.

Here is a pic of mine. The steer axle should be a forklift axle and have 6.00-9 tires on it.
