The intake has approx. 72 to 75 lb. and exhaust is 90 to 95 lb. Fuel is around 550. It is pulling 7th gear (stock), making changes that hopefully we will run 8th gear next season. We have pulled 8th gear, but at 250' to 275' turbo starts to chirp and will snuff. We could drop 5 hundred lb. and it would pull 8th, who want to go backwards.

I had one together that had the 450 Rossa head , 2.75 turbo 65 lbs boost , AC inercooler ,4500 rpm,s always run in fast 6 th, it still had the Powerdirector and on a cool night it would do 7 th ; then the 450 head popped , put a Bosch A pump on and just doesn't put enough fuel out , gotta P pump it I guess ; unlimited rpm,s really turns a 301 loose , I don't see how a few XT,s can run as good as they do and staying in the 3000 rpm limit Edited by DougG - 06 Dec 2014 at 8:46am | |

We have a A pump with a quick delivery cam, dual feed injectors. The 3,000 rpm is in the cam, we just sold a 180 that pulled 7th gear stock and would fall 2,700 to 2,800 and hold/spin out.

Is this post about Jamie Barnhill talking about the one from Stokes, NC or nearby. If so we pulled together back in the 70's with the old East Carolina Club. I'm from Goldsboro and we attempted to pull Ford back then.

Yes, it is a stock rear end. We pull it weighing a max of 6,700 lb. We weighed 6,400 lb. at this pull, just testing & tuning. We were out classed by 100 cui and 1,400 lb. The real nice thing about this pull was Orange was the winner. The D 21 really runs and looks good.
