Well this is sorta AC related as it concerns a 170 drawbar that I sent FedEx to Georgia....well they lost it, who knows how??  Anyway, after a big hassle filing a claim, they would only cover $100 because I didn't fill in the "value" box on the shipping slip. So a word of caution...always fill in the value as $100 (the max without buying insurance), and keep all your receipts and shipping slips! Think I won't be using them anymore if I can help it.....

I USED to deliver for FedEx Home Delivery.  Our county prosecuter was on my route.  He had been in Vegas, and bought 3 guitars-shipped them home FedEx.  He must have marked 1 as worth more than $100.00, because I could not leave that one without a signature.  Man, did he get upset. Made me uneasy as well, as he had ALOT more power than I did...!

USPS isn't much better. Sent a package to WI and for some reason it was sent Utah, they think! Being tracked now. That was sent on 2/11 and he thinks it might take a couple more weeks for it to show up.

Of course FedEx would talk about UPS's problems, BUT, it was reported to me in 2005, that UPS lost a computer disk with 250,000 bank customers information on!  OOPS!

shipped a heavy overhaul kit to customer, didn't arrive, shipped another, it didn't arrive - called supervisor I know, seems the loader at the  Memphis hub was making eyes to one of the female  route drivers and knew she was going on vacation the next week so he was shelving the heavy parts til the substitute came.  Both were given really long vacations.
