Seen a few of these for sale here lately for b and c tractors. Were these also an option for the ca tractors? Couldn't find it in my parts book. Where did they mount on the tractor? anyone have any pics? I just might be interested in one of these lights. Ron

CA would more likely have had red bullet light on fender for the road like my 1951 B had and maybe a white work light option. The guide lamp went under the bench seat on an L bracket, it is listed in B parts book.
Those originals bring big money. |

thanks Rick, they do seem to be a high dollar item. I lived there in Brown county for about 16 yrs. Between Helmsburg and Morgantown. Sure do miss it.

Hi Ron! I have a 57 CA that had this work light setup on it when I got it. I have not seen another like it. The light I have seen on Farmalls & JD but not the same mounting bracket. The light has a rotary switch on the back for off-on-red.

The exact same Tail Light Lamp Assembly is in both the B/C and the CA Dealers Repair Parts Catalog. CA catalog calls it a Auxilary Warning Lamp (Special Equipment). B/C catalog calls it a Warning Lamp. Where and how it mounts on a CA is a good question.

I wonder if the later lamp was reversed like the one I ended up using on my tractor, red on the main lens and white under. My replacement fender did not have a place for the bullet lamp and I did not put it back on.
It had an AC part number and looked like a generic guide lamp like you would use on old trucks. Edited by Rick of HopeIN - 09 Mar 2010 at 7:24pm |
