The rotor magnet ring on my 720 flywheel is slightly loose. It has moved and was rubbing against the timinig cover. The ring still appears to be ok. What is the best way to refasten this? Thanks in advance for your help.

I guess we have no flywheel experience here. It is a known problem.  If you have it taken apart, post some pictures. Someday mine may fail, so I am interested.

Richard:
Try posting on www.simpletractors.com    Lots of garden tractor knowledge on there.

A magnet in my flywheel came loose, caught the stator, broke the stator  loose, ripped the wires off the stator, and damaged the timing cover.  Have spent a lot of money so far, but still don't have it fixed!  Thankfully, yours did not fall off completely.
