Dr. Allis, I have a 21 running a 45 head 320 cc, stock bore and stroke , four hole 20's checked spray pattern starting to top the bowl. 3k class running pretty good 7 th gear . Not burning pistons , and don't want to any help thanks in advance, Kelsy H

There's more HP to be had with a bigger/beter turbocharger and an ice water intercooler and camshaft change than any change in the spray angle of the injectors. More fuel without changing injector spray angle will yield more HP too. The original engineers spent a lot of time and $$$$ coming up with what you've got for a spray pattern and that includes the 34 to 38 degree pump timing.

I agree with the turbo and cooler but rules are 2.3 charger and no cooler I was just worried that the spray was too close to the top still playin with timing but only 2 degrees at a time. Running a Mr. plates cam going to try an offset woodruff key next. Thankyou for the advise just worried the spray was too close

Probably should get you set-up with a water/alcohol injection system.....that's good for 60 to 70 HP with the flip of a switch.

Ran water in the past, and you are correct a lot better ride with water but with all good things our class band use of water thanks for all the tips and thankyou guys for this site

have they banned nitrous . some of the trucks around here have found out its cooling effects when it froze their snow water injection systems.lol even propane gets cold

If they don't allow water, they sure as heck won't allow NOS. Around here the stock trucks try running it, but if caught, they don't have to worry about pulling anymore. |
