The weary travelers from MO

I have been tracking the progress of two MO Allis collectors since they left Montivedio GOTO, It seems they blew a tire near Sioux City IA after fixing the tire they ran into a traffic Jam only to find out a semi trailer loaded with cartoned milk had hit an expressway pillar.  The comment from them was "there was milk everywhere" having made it through there later down the road, Another flat tire, found a tire shop bought a tire and as they were getting back on the road stopped for fuel and pulled up to pump 13, not a good number the way there day has been going.  Back on the road again, I will post more after my next update from them.  I think traveling with this pair sounds like quite and adventure.

Don your right on target, I don't know if they are close enough to get your tires yet, lol

Talked to Dave and JW at 10 pm sunday and the jourey was not over .I will let them add to this if they wish.

Not the adventure they planned on having ---- hope all is well and home today.

those two must have the bad luck together. I was talking to JW at the banquet and he was telling me a story of another trip they made and hit a deer just shortly after they left.

Had to drop off the trailer at a mans farm at dark last night after 3 blowouts. When tires go bad, they must all go bad. Got new tire on and the trailer is home now. I sent JW to work and I cleaned up the mess.  Dave.

Dave, Know what you mean about trailor tires. I went to load up at Dales in July and Matt just happened to look at tire and said, that looks like tread separation. Put two new ones on and got down here just fine. Now, I've noticed the other two look bad so will have to replace before the next use of my trailor.

Good tires to start with makes a big difference. A lot of trailers have old pick up tires on them. They are already old when they were put  on and weather cracked. 

Dave ,I also heard you got lucky and hog's did not get you !!!!!!!!.Thank  god for  hand wipes .LOL

Dave, Sorry if I offended you. I did not intend to do so.

    Nothing worst than having problems on the road! Reminds me of a trip we did in the 70's. I was only 16 and we went to Massey factory in Detroit MI after load machinery. Knew we had 1155 sold and some plows & disc. They said our 2500 forklift was done also. So instead of getting a 135 or 175 tractor and 1155, I decided to get forklift,1155 and all we could fit inbetween. To make a long story short! We blew 3 tires (10:00X 16.5's) within 1st 100 miles on a 3 axle goosenck machinery trailer. When 3th one blew out, I knew something wasn't right. We were way over-loaded! So we unloaded the 1155 in Findlay Ohio, still 2 1/2hrs from shop. We made it home fianlly. Wonder we didn't break any springs. Oh that was later on and brakes needed repalced too! I can smile today! But weren't then!
