who all uses this option? how can I keep the bolts lubed up so they loosen and tighten easily? sorry guys, have a lot of questions today for some reason

There are no bolts to loosen and tighten. The cams have to lock up tight or the wheel will walk around on you. To loosen the cams, start with the top, then the 2 side by side, then the bottom. Tighten in the reverse order.

It depends on what tractor you are talking about. On my D17 IV there are two wheel stops that must be removed and they did away with the fussy cams. There is four bolts to loosen instead. My father was even got caught off guard alittle because he was used to the older style. The wheels are a dream to adjust. Ryan

thats what i meant. they like to seize up. Lithium grease cure this? PB doesnt do to them and im tired of having to put the cheater pipe on em to loosen em up

I use a 24 in pipe wrench on the wheel wrench. Never needed a cheater:) I have heard "never sieze" works. I have never used it. I guess I haven't moved my wheels on the 45 for a long time. They are set in for the plow and I don't cultivate so they stay that way.

With the tractor parked you can take the top one off and clean it and free it up, then reinstall it.  Roll the tractor ahead and take the next one out.  Rinse and repeat till you get em all. 

Worked well enough for me mine turn like a dream now.

I used to use the ones on my 58 D14 at least once a year - they never seized up.  However, the ones on my 59 D14 and D15 II were never used and consequently stuck.  After separating the rim from the castings, I threw the eccentrics in the woodstove for a few hours.  They all turned freely after that, however I still took them apart and sandblasted everything.  Put it back together with lots of anti seize, it should last a good long time.

if you will take them apart,clean them up,and get some FELPOR C5-A ANTI SIEZE you will be able to loosen them normally after 15 years of use...
