okay, next little item: same 52CA
picture shows where i have been replacing oil (10-30, can't find recommended 20w). just a pull off cap, no dipstick like i've been reading about. now gonna drain & replace with ATF from recommendations here on the forum, and i know from reading where to find the drainS (plural). and now i know capacity, so will put in correct amount. was leaking so badly before i was unsure of how much to replace, so slowly added some till wouldn't drain down anymore and was 2" below rim. right place to be filling? and should there be a separate dipstick or attached to cap?

Think i would go with Universal tractor fluid rather than ATF.
the UTF has a better rating for gear use and also the additives for foam and water dispersal .

I think you just got the ATF mixed up with the UTF. About the only thing I use ATF for is making up some rust releaser. Equal parts of ATF and Acetone. Shake it WELL every time. That's what I have in mine, Universal Transmission Hydraulic Fluid. Works really well. STILL have a 5 gal bucket of 20w I bought a few years ago and never use except for the oil change and when that is gone, I am going to switch over to 10w-30w. A LOT easier to get.

CAdon there is suposed to be a dipstick that goes in there 1/4 twist to keep in place. one of the vendors on this site should have one for sale. When full oil level will be about at the bottom of that opening.
