An Allis dealer told me about 30 years ago to use DexronII.

Use modern day Universal Hydraulic fluid instead of Dexron....takes 4 to 5 quarts if you change it.

I run Dextron in all or our D series, it may find the leaks easier than Universal, but as long as it has anti foaming and is rated for hydraulic use, just about any oil will work.
