My 12 ton bottle jack has been leaking oil for some time.  Now it needs a rebuild.  Anybody got any advice in the rebuild of these jacks?

If its on of the old USA made real jacks the gland nut on the top just unscrews and any Hyd shop should be able to hand you ned seal. empty it and clean it out real well. install lube the new seals and reassemble. I think seals for my old blackhawk jack were 5 bucks. and a jug of jack oil it should be good for another 40 years. If its a newer lowcost jack buy a new one.

I know a guy that rebuilds them just north of me in Mexico, mo. He did a great job for me and was reasonable. I wanted to have the USA one that I have rebuilt instead of buying one made over seas. He rebuilt a engine hoist jack for me for $40.
Can't fix stupid
